The IRB-HSR has two IRB member rosters under UVA's FWA.  

The IRB 1 group primarily reviews studies that come to the IRB Full Board Meeting for initial review, modifications and reported unexpected adverse events.

The IRB 3 group primarily reviews studies that were previously approved by the IRB-HSR Full Board and have come up for continuation review to renew the IRB approval of the study.

For background, the IRB 2 group is associated with the IRB-SBS and reviews non-medial human subject research studies at UVA.
